FOR SALE - 9mm WWII MP40 sub-machine gun.
9mm WWII German MP40 sub-machine gun.
This MP40 was manufactured in 1941 by ‘Haenel’ and the rear of the receiver is marked 'MP40' and ‘fxo 41’. 'fxo' which was one of the wartime manufacturer codes for ‘Haenel’.
This MP40 is a mismatched example in that only the upper receiver ('receiver tube') and the lower receiver have original matching numbers. Some parts appear to be un-numbered.
This MP40 is in excellent working order and condition, and the barrel is very good as are the internals and the bakelite furniture. This MP40 retains most of its blued probably post-WWII refinish.
This MP40 comes complete with 1x 32 round WWII magazine correctly marked for use in the MP38 and MP40.
The front site base/hood is not original to this MP40 as it has a different serial number from the receiver parts and a different finish to the rest of this MP40. The front side base/hood is the early type with the catch for the folding muzzle cover. That version of the front sight base/hood is still correct for some of the MP40’s produced in 1941.
The bolt has a number on it which does not match the serial number of the upper/lower receivers.
(I have obscured the serial number on the receivers parts in the attached photos for security reasons, but I will advise that as necessary)
The usual Police permit to procure with colour copy of firearms licence (or PTP plus sighting of firearms licence if picking up the MP40) will be required.
Delivery costs (if required) to be determined with successful purchaser. (Note: the MP40 would be shipped as two separate items for security reasons)
